Rosie and Lui Are Safe in Canada!
May 22, 2026
After a journey of more than 25 hours from Baku, Rosie and Lui have safely arrived in Canada. Despite the long trip, both dogs arrived looking remarkably bright and ready to begin their new lives.
For now, they are doing what nearly every GWARP dog does after spending so many hours travelling in a crate: resting, recovering and sleeping.
Instead of sharing limited space and attention with hundreds of other dogs, Rosie and Lui are now enjoying soft beds, warm and safe homes, and the care of loving people devoted entirely to them.
Bringing them to Canada required months of planning, careful coordination and countless logistical steps. Most importantly, it was made possible by the generosity of GWARP's donors, volunteers and supporters.
Because this community continued to believe in them, Rosie and Lui now have the freedom, safety and love they have always deserved.
We are grateful beyond words to everyone who helped make their freedom flight possible. Rosie and Lui are finally safe, and their new lives have begun.
