MEET PONDOKE! A gentle soul who has fought so hard for his second chance.

Pondoke is coming all the way from Cairo, Egypt in search of something he has always deserved: a safe, loving home where he can finally leave his past behind.

At just 2.5 years old and about 51 pounds, Pondoke is a beautiful Shepherd/Baladi mix with a gentle heart and a wonderfully balanced personality. He's affectionate, loving, and happiest when he's spending time with his people. He enjoys playtime and companionship, but he's also perfectly content to settle in and enjoy a quiet, relaxed moment by your side.

Pondoke's journey hasn't been an easy one.

He was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where people were trying to harm him with pellets. Thankfully, he was found in time and received the medical care he desperately needed. He underwent surgery to remove dangerous fragments from his body, followed by continued treatment and laser therapy to help him heal. He's making incredible progress!

Pondoke's walking has been improving more and more every day, and now he's ready to focus on something much more important than his past: being a dog.

He loves people, is wonderful with children, and is fine with cats. He generally does well around other dogs, but we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in his home, where he can have his people all to himself.

With his medium energy level and easygoing nature, Pondoke could be a wonderful companion for so many different kinds of families. He doesn't need an elaborate life, he just needs someone who will give him love, patience, security, and the chance to finally know what it feels like to be home.

He's already survived the worst. Now he deserves the best. A soft bed. A safe home. A family who will love him unconditionally. And a lifetime where the only thing he has to worry about is whether it's time for another walk or another cuddle.
