MEET OSCAR

Some dogs never let life's setbacks define them. Sweet, happy-go-lucky Oscar is one of them.

Oscar is a two and a half year old blue-eyed Husky with a heart every bit as beautiful as his looks. Weighing just 43 pounds, he's still working on filling out, but what he lacks in weight, he more than makes up for in personality!

Oscar has already experienced more change than any young dog should. After being found as a stray, he eventually ended up in a New York City kill shelter, where we were able to bring him to safety. Through it all, he has remained incredibly loving, optimistic, and happy to make friends wherever he goes.

This boy is playful, curious, and loves to run around. Oscar will play with any squeaky toy or ball available, and gets along well with every dog he meets. As much as he enjoys running alongside his dog friends, he's just as happy relaxing beside his people after a day of fun. Whether you're spending time in the backyard, enjoying a quiet afternoon on the deck, or simply unwinding at home, Oscar is happiest when he's with his family.

Affection comes naturally to Oscar. He is affectionate and cant wait to nuzzle and cuddle with you. He'll soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give! He's the kind of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail and remind you every day how happy he is to be by your side.

Oscar would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. He's also good with cats.

As a young Husky, Oscar would do best with an active family that understands his breed's need for exercise, enrichment, and adventure. A securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play would be a wonderful bonus.

Oscar is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for.
