Meet Mavis, a deeply intelligent, emotionally intuitive German Shepherd.

Sweet Mavis is in an unusual situation. Her doting mom of 3 years won't be able to care for her for 1 to 2 years due to an unfortunate family situation; so we are looking for a loving person or family who might be able to care for this sweet gem for a limited time, though that time is not precise. yet. Mavis is quite friendly, and currently lives with another dog and a cat. She is very active when playing with other dogs-if your dog needs a playmate! She is neither dominant or super submissive, but rather somewhere in the middle. She is confident and not reactive.

Mavis is housetrained-she lets you know when she needs to go out.

Loves to play and go on hikes.

Are you a young person who perhaps does not want to commit to 10 years of dog ownership?

Let us know if you can help out this sweet girl and her owner. She is a wonderful companion.

We will look for homes where someone is home as much as possible; retired, work-from-home, stay at home parent, etc. She will enjoy other animals for company too. A fenced in yard will be wonderful.
