Meet Elizabeth, a 4-year-old Corgi that comes all the way from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where countless animals are left to fend for themselves without protection or care. We rescue these deserving dogs and fly them to Canada so they can finally experience the safety, love, and happy future they deserve.

Elizabeth is one of those dogs who seems to make friends wherever she goes. She is easygoing, friendly, and wonderfully social, with a sweet temperament that has made her a favourite among the people who know her at the shelter.

She gets along well with other dogs and cats, and she is especially loved by the school children who visit the shelter. Elizabeth happily welcomes their attention and affection, and the children adore spending time with her. In a shelter full of dogs all hoping to be noticed, there is something pretty special about the girl the kids keep gravitating toward.

At four years old, Elizabeth is past the chaotic puppy stage but still young, with many years of companionship and adventures ahead of her. She would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a friendly, easygoing dog who can settle into family life and simply enjoy being part of it.

For now, Elizabeth's world is still a shelter thousands of kilometres from the home we hope to find for her. She has no idea that somewhere in Canada there could be a family looking at her photo and thinking, "that's our dog".

Elizabeth has spent long enough being everyone's favourite shelter dog. She deserves to become someone's beloved family member, with a home of her own, a soft place to sleep, walks to look forward to, and people who are hers for the rest of her life.

Elizabeth's adoption fee is $2,000 USD, which reflects the considerable cost involved in preparing and transporting a rescue dog from Azerbaijan to Canada.
