Blondie is a 1-year-old beautiful labrador retriever and comes all the way from Baku, Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where countless animals become victims to serious accidental injuries or human’s brutality, and are left to fend for themselves without protection or care. We rescue these deserving dogs, help them to heal and recover, and fly them to US, so they can finally experience the safety, love and happy future they deserve.

Blondie, from what we have seen, could be the perfect family dog. When we asked the carers at the shelter how they would describe Blondie, they all said with a big smile and without a thought that she was a joy-friendly, playful, smart, endearing. She is wonderful with kids, other dogs, and , you have to see the videos, with cats. Blondie treats the kittens with such affection as a replacement of her own babies. You can tell how loving and caring she is. She has charmed everyone with her attachment to a cat named Marty

As most of our dogs’ stories, her rescue and survival was a miracle. She was found with a severely infected leg and an injured spine. After all the dedicated care at the shelter and several visits to the vet the wound healed and the infection subsided. Despite the damaged nerves in her spine she moves surprisingly well. We will post a video of the way she walks. She is only one year old and could have a long life and full of love home, which will make her forget the harsh reality of the first months of her life.

Blondie isn't asking for pity. She's asking for a chance — a family who will see past her leg and straight into her heart. She needs someone patient and loving, someone who will celebrate her for exactly who she is: a resilient, affectionate girl who still believes in kindness. Look into her eyes in the photos and video and see how much she has to give.
