About Lorik

Lorik comes all the way from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where many animals are left to survive harsh conditions without protection or care. We rescue them and fly them to the United States so they can finally experience safety, love, and the bright future they deserve.

Lorik is a sweet 1-year-and-3-month-old boy whose story began before he was even born. His mother, Gara, was rescued from the streets while pregnant and brought to the shelter so she could safely give birth. Thankfully, she has since been adopted and is now living a wonderful life with her forever family.

Sadly, Lorik and his siblings did not have an easy start. The kittens were born very weak and sickly. Out of six siblings, only two survived — Lorik and his brother Prosha. Both boys were also born visually impaired.

Despite this challenge, Lorik has grown into an extraordinary cat. He is incredibly intelligent, calm, and gentle, yet still playful and curious about the world around him. He navigates life with confidence and grace, proving every day that his vision does not define him.

Lorik gets along beautifully with both dogs and other cats and absolutely loves people. He enjoys companionship, attention, and being part of the action. Both he and his brother even recognize and respond to their names, showing just how smart and attentive they are.

Lorik is a truly special cat who has overcome a difficult beginning and is now ready to leave shelter life behind and travel to the United States for the loving home he deserves.

He is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for adoption.

Adoption fee: $500 to help offset his international travel costs.
