Kasya

Sweet Kasya comes all the way from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where animals are often mistreated or dumped to survive on harsh streets. We fly them to the United States/ Canada so they can finally have a good home and a bright future.

Kasya is an incredibly gentle and sensitive soul who deserves a chance to experience something she may have never known before: safety. We don't know what happened in her past, but her fearfulness suggests she may have endured hardship or mistreatment. She is very shy and timid, around people, dogs, and other cats. She doesn't play with other animals and prefers to keep her distance, but she has never shown aggression. She simply doesn't trust easily.

Until now, Kasya has been living in a busy environment with multiple dogs and cats, which can be overwhelming for such a sensitive girl. We truly believe that once she has a peaceful, quiet home of her own, she will finally be able to relax and slowly come out of her shell at her own pace. She is currently with a loving foster in Ottawa and she is already starting to unwind and be curious about this new wonderful world post shelter!

She isn't looking for perfection, just patience, understanding, and someone willing to let her learn that the world can be kind. The greatest reward will be watching her gain confidence and blossom into the cat she was always meant to be.
