Meet Cardi! This sweet, resilient mama comes all the way from Cairo, Egypt and is ready to leave her past behind and find a loving forever home to call her own.

Cardi’s story is one of extraordinary strength. A Husky/Baladi mix, she gave birth to her puppies entirely on the streets, doing everything she could to keep them safe. She was discovered sheltering her newborns beneath a tree, while locals were trying to harm them. Thankfully, rescuers intervened just in time, bringing Cardi and her entire litter of five puppies to safety.

Now almost 4 years old, Cardi has spent her time at the shelter patiently waiting for her turn. Her puppies have all grown up and it’s finally time for this incredible mom to have a chapter that’s all about her.

Despite everything she’s been through, Cardi is a quiet, gentle, loving girl who blossoms with kindness. She is good with other dogs and enjoys human companionship. She would do well in a home with patient, loving adopters who appreciate just how far she’s come.

After years of sacrifice and survival, Cardi deserves a warm, safe place to finally exhale. If you’re looking for a dog with a big heart and an even bigger story, this is her.

Cardi is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and is fully ready to start her next chapter.

Adoption fee is $700, which helps us continue rescuing and caring for other dogs in need.
