About Rubin

Meet Rubin!

Rubin is a beautiful, gentle boy with a special aura about him. He loves people, adores children, and gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs. After everything he's been through, he has somehow remained trusting, affectionate, and ready to love.

Rubin's story, unfortunately, began with someone who didn't deserve him. He was thrown out onto the streets by his owner, where a kindhearted woman found him and began caring for him. She kept Rubin safely near her home, making sure he had food, water, and somewhere to feel safe.

But even then, Rubin wasn't out of danger.

Neighbors repeatedly chased him away and subjected him to violence and forcing him back onto the street. Fearing that someone might eventually poison or seriously hurt him, the woman who had been protecting Rubin made the heartbreaking decision to bring him to the shelter. It was the choice that ultimately saved Rubin's life.

During Rubin's medical examination, veterinarians discovered that his tail had been injured, likely as a result of the violence he endured. His tail looks a little different because of the old injury, but it doesn't take away from his beauty or ability to be the wonderful cat he is.

Rubin has also tested positive for FIV. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives, and Rubin deserves the chance to do exactly that!

Despite being hurt and frightened by people in the past, Rubin still loves people. He loves children, enjoys the company of other cats and dogs, and has so much affection to give.

Rubin has already survived being abandoned, life on the streets, and the cruelty of people who should have protected him. Now he deserves something very different. A safe home. Gentle hands. A family who will never make him wonder if he's loved. Rubin is ready for the life he should have had all along!

Rubin is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption.

Adoption fee: $200 to help offset Rubin's international travel costs.
