MEET NIKA!

Nika is a beautiful female cat with incredibly soft, cotton-like fur and a gentle, loving personality. She is wonderful with people and children and gets along well with dogs. She has so much affection to give and is ready for a family who will never make her question whether she is wanted.

Nika was adopted as a kitten and raised by a family who should have loved her for life. But when Nika became sick, instead of getting her the care she needed, they abandoned her on the street with the heartbreaking belief that she would somehow get better on her own.

She didn't.

Nika's condition became worse while she was left to fend for herself. Eventually, someone who knew her former family learned what had happened and took responsibility for getting her to safety, personally bringing her to the shelter.

It's difficult to understand how someone could raise a kitten from such a young age and then leave her behind when she became vulnerable. Nika deserved care. She deserved patience. Most of all, she deserved to know that getting sick would never mean losing her family.

And yet, despite the way humans failed her, Nika has remained sweet and trusting. A family who will love her through the easy days and the difficult ones. Someone who understands that bringing an animal home is a promise, not just for as long as things are convenient, but for life.

Nika is ready to make that promise back with all the love she has.

Nika is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption.
