Lucy 🇨🇦

Lucy comes all the way from Azerbaijan, former Soviet Republic where animals are often mistreated or dumped to survive on harsh streets. We fly them to the United States/Canada so that they can finally have a good home and a bright future. Lucy has just arrived in Canada and is in foster care in Ottawa.

Lucy was admitted to the shelter in Azerbaijan six years ago when she was just a kitten. A kind person rescued her at the last moment, just as a car was about to hit her. Only about a month ago had Lucy arrived in Canada. Despite spending her entire life in a shelter environment, she has adapted to home life with remarkable confidence. She isn't fazed by the vacuum cleaner or household appliances — in fact, very little rattles this brave soul. Every now and then, Lucy gets the zoomies. It's absolutely adorable and a sign of just how happy and comfortable she's become in a home.

Lucy is a smart, loving, and independent cat who prefers spending her time up high and enjoying her own space. She loves to play, enjoys her meals on her own, and has beautiful markings along with a truly unique personality. Lucy is FIV positive, so we are looking for a home without other cats, which suits her well, as she naturally thrives as a solo companion. She has, however, adjusted quickly to the foster's cat-friendly dog. While she isn't particularly interested in interacting with him, she tolerates his presence just fine.
